M&S Body Butter

B O D Y. B U T T E R S. // Marks and Spencer

I have been a devote lover of The Body Shop body butters for five years up until now. I have fallen out of love with them since I recently discovered Marks and Spencer body butters, they are just out of this world!

For a starter, the packaging is beautiful with photographs of each of the different ingredients displayed brightly on the lid. The body butters have the most delicious smells, good enough to eat! When applying it to the skin the butter soaks in lovely and doesn't feel greasy unlike The Body Shop's, it feels silky and natural. I have also found that the butter is extremely nourishing, does not react with my sensitive skin and the longevity of the moisture really is amazing - it leaves my skin smooth and moisturised all day!

I really can't fault this product at all, everything really is perfect and I highly recommend this body butter to anyone! They are on offer at the moment at buy one get one half price so get them while you can! (Before I buy the whole lot)

LYDC Pretty Platforms

S H O E S. // LYDC (also available from Ebay here)

After having my hair re-dyed at the salon today I decided to browse the stores along Ecclesall Road in Sheffield (where I get my hair done).  I came across a lovely little store called Mookau, the bright turquoise colour of the shop hit me first and I peered inside. The shop was filled with cute greeting cards and lovely vintage gifts, so I popped inside and found these beautiful platforms!

The patent T-bar style heels are by London Young Designers Company (LYDC) and come in 4 different colour combinations: spearmint and teal, pink and light blue, beige and orange and the colour I chose which is coral and turquoise. I think the colours in the shoes really do compliment each other nicely and will look perfect on a summers day! The fit is to size and they seem really comfy, as since buying them I have been tootling around the house in them all evening! With just a 1.5 inch platform and 5 inch wedge heel they make walking in them a breeze. I also think it is fantastic that the shoes come with a dust bag to store them in. I can't wait to style these pretty platforms!

Bikini Time!

B I K I N I. // H&M

I went in search for a new summer bikini this week ready for my spa day next month and found the most perfect one in H&M. A beautiful unique green one with a fantastic tye-dye pattern, so I ran to the counter and bought it!

Obviously, me being me, I couldn't choose between the two tops so bought them both! They are both lovely and unique in their own way, the tassels on the classic top gives it a boho feel yet the bandeau gives the swimwear a whole different glam rock look and is perfect for sunbathing. I think the lovely greens in the pattern of the bikini are perfect for summer and give the whole bikini a summery tropical feel. This is definitely my favourite bikini I have bought in a long time, I mean who could resist it?!

The only little issue I had when buying the bikini tops were the sizing - the sizes are so small! Being only a UK size 6 in almost everything I thought a size 8 would bury me, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I am so glad that I decided to try the bikini tops on in store as I ended up buying a UK 10 for the bandeau and a UK 12 for the tassel style top! I really was not expecting to have that much of a leap from my usual size, especially to say how petite I am. However, the bikini bottoms I purchased were in a UK 8 so they were a perfect fit for my frame. I'm just glad I could buy the items separately, it would have been a nightmare to buy them as a set all in the same size!

A few of you will probably recognise the bikini from Beyoncé's gorgeous campaign ad's for H&M this summer which you can read all about it here. The whole collection is fantastic, especially the swimwear so it really is worth a look! I also love that H&M have teamed up with WWF this summer to set new standards for water stewardship in the fashion industry. It's amazing to think how important water is in fashion, an incredible amount of water is used throughout the life of garment, from growing cotton to making fabrics and finally washing our clothes at home. Therefore, H&M have decided to donate 25% of the price paid for items in the water collection for projects that will support sustainable water resources for the environment and people. I respect H&M's decision on donating money to help the industry, I think it shows how much they care for not only the environment but the future of fashion too.

If you would like to know more about this topic in much more detail you can see it all on their website here.

Liebster Award

I am so happy that I have been nominated for the Liebster Award! I would like to thank the lovely Bea from Beatrice Sapphire for nominating me for this award, I'm so grateful (you can read her post here) I love reading her blog, she always keeps me up to date with beauty and skin essentials - I definitely recommend that you go and give her a follow!

Rules

1./ Answer the 10 questions which your lovely nominator has given you!

2./ Nominate 10 bloggers who have under 200 followers and link them in your post.

3./ Come up with 10 more cool and crazy questions for your nominees to answer!

4./ Inform your lovely nominees so they can do their responses!
Here are my answers:
1./ Why did you start a blog?

I started blogging at the end of June 2013. I've been interested in fashion and beauty for years now but never really gave blogging much thought, mainly because I didn't know where to start! But then after helping friends with style advice, always buying the latest beauty and makeup products, and reading so many wonderful blogs I knew it was about time I started my own!

2./ Which is your favourite clothes shop?

This is a difficult question! I have so many favourite clothes shops for all different reasons. But at the moment, I would have to say River Island is my favourite - they have some beautiful clothing in this season and the quality is outstanding.

3./ Which is your favourite makeup brand?

My current favourite makeup brand is Illamasqua - I think their makeup collections are wonderful! I find it difficult to find the perfect foundation for my porcelain complexion but when I discovered Illamasqua's skinbase in shade 102, I fell in love! (I will be doing a review soon - so look out!) I also love the idea of being adventurous with makeup and if you're like me where you like to experiment with different colours and looks then the Illamasqua counter is where you want to be!

4./ Who was your first follower?

My first follower was the lovely Jess from Beautifully Laced. Her adventurous outfit posts and DIY beauty posts are fantastic to read, and she always accompanies them with beautiful photos - You should go take a look!

5./ What is your favourite food?

Tomatoes are my most favourite food - I absolutely love them! My favourite kind are the on the vine cherry tomatoes, they really are delicious! I enjoy them so much that once I switched my Popcorn snack in the cinema for a tub of my favourite tomatoes! I must admit I did get a few funny looks when I was sat enjoying my healthy snack whilst watching the film!

6./ How do you overcome bloggers block?

I haven't experienced any bloggers block just yet as I am fairly new to the blogosphere. However, when I do hit this block I think the best thing for me to do would be to relax, listen to some good music and read other blogs for inspiration, all accompanied by lots of yummy snacks.

7./ Who is your favourite YouTuber?

My favourite YouTuber at the moment is Beauty Crush, I recently subscribed to her channel as I think her tutorials and hauls are so interesting to watch and she just seems a genuinely nice girl.

8./ Would you like to make YouTube videos?

I would love to make YouTube videos in the near future! Once I have more experience with blogging I hope to start making some - watch this space!

9./ Which post on your blog are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my MUA lipstick review! I spent a lot of time editing the photos, writing the review and planning out the whole post. I am really happy with it, you can read it here.

10./ Do you participate in #bbloggers chats?

Unfortunately I don't participate in #bbloggers chats but I would love to! Where do I start? :)

My lovely nominees are:

Jess at Beautifully Laced
Leah at The Northern Doll
Ana at Ana Mascara
Victoria at Victoria Ivy

Another Girl. Another Planet.

C R O P. T O P. // Oh My Love

S H O E S. // Internacionale, similar here

N E C K L A C E. // Topshop
B R A C E L E T. // New Look, similar here

I have been looking for a perfect neon crop top for about a month now and just couldn't find the perfect one, but then I came across Oh My Love's gorgeous sulphur yellow crop! I love the off the shoulder style which creates a perfect shape around the neckline which is perfect to show off a statement necklace. The material is extremely comfortable to wear and I think the zip down the centre looks amazing against the neon bright colour.

The metallic black disco skirt by Glamorous look perfect styled with the crop. The fit of the skirt is snug and is just the right length for me, not too short or too long - it's nice to finally own a skirt this length! I love the idea of the disco skirt, appose to the disco pants that you now see everywhere, I think it's a different approach and is a lovely piece for any night out or party!

These universe tights are my favourite pair I own, the unique pattern is very striking! I ordered them from Ebay and with a small price tag of £1.86 these tights really are a dream come true! The material is quite thin therefore is prone to snagging and tears but most skin coloured tights usually are so this isn't much of a problem for me. The tights are only sold in one size so depending on the height and shape of the person, the pattern on the tights will stretch so it is best to take this in to consideration before purchasing a pair or two!

My shoes are faux Jeffrey Campbell type studded litas from Internacionale that I bought a while ago now, but similar styles are still sold! I highly recommend them, especially if buying a gorgeous pair of Jeffrey Campbell's is out of your price budget, as they are comfy, stylish and extremely durable (I can vouch for this from experience!) With added chain and spike jewellery, and a bright neon bag your look is complete and your ready to go!

How do you like to style your neon clothing? I would love to know! :)

MUA Lipstick

. // MUA Nectar
. // MUA Shade 13
. // MUA Juicy
All available from MUA Make Up Academy

I absolutely love lipstick! So when I discovered MUA Make Up Academy's lipsticks retailing at just £1 each I couldn't believe my eyes! A lipstick this cheap, how could this be? So lets find out how great I actually think they are!..

After buying my Glamour Nights eye palette by MUA for just over a a month now and being so impressed with it, I decided it was time to invest in more of their products! So, what better product to buy than a good lipstick, or 3!

I bought 3 different shades from the MUA lipstick collection; Nectar, Juicy, and Shade 13 on my recent trip. (I'm not sure why 2 of the colours have specific names and the other is called shade 13 - I think all of the lipsticks should have their own unique name) Nectar has lived in my handbag since I bought it, yet I love the other 2 shades just as much! All of the lipsticks are highly pigmented and have an incredible matte finish that sits beautifully on the lips without making your lips feel dry and rough and they smell delicious too! I must admit, my favourite thing about these lipsticks is the hidden lipgloss under the lipstick which in a matching shade! I think it's a fantastic idea, I have been using it either over the top of the lipstick for a less matte look, or under the lipstick as a primer. Both ways really do help maintain the colour all day - the longevity is amazing! Apart from being a fantastic lipstick, they also make a great creme blusher when dabbed on to the cheeks and blended in with your finger!

The packaging looks very professional considering the small price tag. I think the black gloss plastic with the silver lettering looks so sleek and classy! The only small problem is that the black plastic casing scratches really easily, but then again all lipstick cases usually do when kept in a makeup bag, so this isn't too much of a problem for me!

The only drawback to MUA lipstick is that they only stock 16 shades! How amazing would it be if MUA could double this number to 32 amazing colours?! Please bring out more! :)

Motel Rocks Monochrome Wish List

Motel Rocks Monochrome Wish List

All items from Motel Rocks

I have started using Polyvore more lately to collage together lovely clothing, shoes and accessories that I love! Polyvore is my online fashion scrapbook, I think it's amazing that you can create your own 'sets' of outfits, ideas or anything creative all on one website.

Every item on this wish list is perfect - I love the prints and trends Motel Rocks have in this season, and with the new JuJu sandals added on to their website I have fallen more in love with Motel Rocks!

I adore the black and white cold shoulder crop tee for summer, I think the casual crop is a quirky item which can easily be dressed up or dressed down with either high waist skinny jeans or the black and white A-line skirt on my wish list. I think the skirt is so chic for summer, I especially love the zip detail on the front of the skirt and the use of monochrome colours parallel to one another which work beautifully! Worn with the classy white JuJu Jellies (which I can't get enough of!), vintage square sunglasses, and the beautiful black patent satchel this outfit really does complete the monochrome look for any day, anywhere!

The check sleeveless shift dress is my perfect retro 60's monochrome item for the evening, worn with the stunning Jeffrey Campbell skull Lita platform boots, and completed with the saddle satchel in silver splash print. I adore this bag as I love the contrast of silver with the black and white paint splash print, this unique bag would look perfect in my wardrobe (along with all of the other items of course!)

I have bought a few items from Motel Rocks in the past and more recently, the quality of their clothing is remarkable, the designs are unique, and the prices are very reasonable! I love all of their clothes, my monochrome wishlist noticeably shows my favourites this summer!

Which is your favourite item from this selection? Do you have your eye on anything from the Motel Rocks website? :)

Mickey Mouse and Monochrome

C R O P. T O P. // Primark
D U N G A R E E. S K I R T. // River Island
S H O E S. // River Island
H A T.* // Vans

I am so excited to share this outfit with you all, I have to admit this is my favourite OOTD yet! I have been posting a lot of colourful, bright, summery outfits lately so I have decided to turn the tables today and wear a monochrome inspired outfit seeing as monochrome is one of my favourite looks this season. I not only love this outfit for the 90's edgy look, it is about as simple and effortless as can be. With a pop of red lipstick and black liquid liner you're ready to go!

I bought this cute Disney's Mickey Mouse comic-strip crop from Primark for a bargain of £6! The material is stretchy, soft and extremely durable, and being a comic-book lover the style is perfect. I highly recommend looking at Primark's Disney range this summer!

I styled the crop with the black dungaree skater skirt I treated myself to from River Island. The skirt is a perfect fit on my waist and flares out just the right amount - dungaree straps can easily be removed so you can also wear the skater skirt on it's own which is an added bonus.

My new block heel gladiator sandals finally arrived from the River Island website  and they are by far the comfiest gladiator sandals I own! I have been on the look out for the perfect grungy, chunky black sandals for a while now so when I spotted these on the website I had to have them! The chunky block heel and sole make the sandals extremely durable, and with the added oversized buckles these really are a must-have statement shoe for summer.

So, here's a fun story about my hat: Last November I attended the return of Vans Warped Tour in London, UK. I had the most amazing weekend watching UK Vert Skateboarding Championships, and listening to some of my favourite bands including; Bring Me The Horizon, Awolnation, Less Than Jake, The Story So Far, Man Overboard, Yashin, and not forgetting my all time favourite New Found Glory! Anyway, about the hat... I spotted the official vans stall at the event, and decided it was time to finally make a decision on which Vans New Era hat I wanted. After what seemed like hours I picked my colour, dark grey so went to go pay. Much to my surprise Mr Steve Van Doren served me!! For those of you who are unsure who Steve Van Doren is, he is the son of co-founder Paul Van Doren who started the skate-themed brand. Being a lover of the Vans brand, I was excited to meet him and to my amazement he gave me another Vans Era hat for free and signed the back of it for me!! So whenever I wear this cap I always think back to the unforgettable weekend I had! :)

What's your favourite monochrome look this summer? I would love to hear about them :)
