Hobbs AW13 Event

Last Thursday 12th September I was lucky enough to have been invited to attend Hobbs exclusive York opening party with a champagne brunch. There were already a few VIP customers queuing for the store opening preview when I arrived, which made me even more excited! We were waiting for 10 minutes outside the gorgeous newly furbished store before we were greeted by two glamorous ladies inviting us inside. On arrival we each received a £50 gift card to spend inshore, a complimentary glass of champagne and lots of tasty treats! I was taken aback by the store, it was so big and spacious, allowing me to glide down the isles with ease and take in all of the beautiful clothing! My favourite feature of the store was definitely the shoe wall, made of glass shelves and walls displaying all of the wonderful shoes and boots!

I absolutely adore their new AW13 collection, especially the NW3 collection which is a more relaxed and easy style, very chic and sophisticated with a twist. The product 4 product photos above c/o Hobbs show my favourite pieces from this collection. I love the oversized coats and chunky knitted jumpers with stunning unique patterns, these items would be perfect for the cold weather! The leather outfit is another one of my favourites, with the laser cut outs and the angular cuts, this outfit really is on trend for Autumn!

I would like to say a really big thank you to the Hobbs team for inviting me to the event, and extra big thank you for my gifts from the party, I had a fantastic day! To see the new collection, click here for the Hobbs website.

Bed Head Queen for a Day Thickening Spray

Bed Head. // Queen for a Day Thickening Spray

I love having thick bouncy hair, but unfortunately my hair is flat and lifeless after washing my hair which is a nightmare. But after discovering Bed Head's Queen for a Day Thickening Spray I can now say goodbye to my lifeless natural hair!

The idea of this spray mousse is to apply to wet hair onto the roots to add volume and thickness, and this is exactly what it does. The formula is extremely light, it's not sticky or too thick it sprays evenly onto the roots and leaves your hair smelling delicious too which is also a bonus! I've been using this spray now for just over a month and I couldn't imagine my haircare routine without it now, I love it that much!

My week in pictures.. # 2

This week I have been treating myself, I finally bought my first pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes!! I am so excited to own a pair, I can't wait to show you which ones I have bought, but I'm keeping it a secret for now. There are some gorgeous shoes around this Autumn, I found these petrol boots on the Topshop website and they are to die for, so quirky and individual, I can't wait till they are restocked again!

I went on a little adventure this week, I was invited to my first blogger event, the Hobbs store re-opening in York last Thursday (12th September 2013). I had an amazing day, I took plenty of photos, spoke to lovely customers and employees and came home with a few goodies! If you would like to know more about my day visit Hello Sunshine tomorrow and I will tell you all about my day on a special blog post!

Everything is getting a little hectic in my life this week, I move back to university at the end of this week so I am starting to pack my things together ready to move back to Lincoln. I'm really excited to be back at university again, I can't believe this is my third and final year!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic week! What have you been doing? Is anyone starting university soon?

Maybeline Baby Lips (Cherry Me, Pink Punch & Hydrate)

Maybeline Baby Lips. // Boots

Maybeline brought Baby Lips to the UK at the beginning of August 2013, and even though I bought 3 from the collection then, I have waited to review them up until now so I could fully enjoy using the product for a month before writing a review.

I decided to choose 3 out of the 6, Cherry Me, Pink Punch and Hydrate. Firstly, I absolutely love the scent of all 3 of them, they smell so delicious that I could eat them! I also think the packaging is perfect, a simple design with bright bold colours with different colour combinations for each of the 6 Baby Lip balms. I love this idea, it gives each of the balms individuality and character. Cherry me and Pink Punch are very similar colours (as shown in my heart swatches) even though they look very different to look at in the packaging but I do really like the colours and they would suit any skin tone, yay! Hydrate is a clear balm with a lemon scent and leaves a matte look on the lips.

However, I was a little disappointed with the longevity of the guaranteed 8 hour plus moisture as my lips only seemed to be hydrated for around 2 hours then I would need to apply the balm again.

Overall, I do really like the Baby Lips and I always have Pink Punch or Cherry Me in my bag just in case I need a pop of natural colour on my lips. But I wouldn't buy any of them again, the product just lacks moisture for my lips despite the delightful colours they provide.

Primark Autumn /Winter 2013 Collection

I absolutely love the Primark Autumn/ Winter 2013 collection, I can't wait for all of the items to be released and then I can buy so many new clothes at affordable prices, perfect! I've picked out my top 20 items that I think are amazing, I have my eye on all of the pieces, especially the tartan dress, red pinafore and the gorgeous red patterned zip skirt (I love red clothing this season!) Admittedly I don't own many Primark clothes as I've never really been overly fussed by their collections, just liked the odd thing here and there but seeing this collection really has changed my views on Primark, I can't wait to see them in person and see my Primark clothes collection grow!

What do you think of the A/W collection? Which is your favourite item?

I've recently come across an incredible new brand called Workshop after buying this blossom printed tank from Topshop. I think the print is amazing, not only is the it incredibly detailed, I also love the Art Nouveau style, the blossoms and the crystals printed. The quality of the top is fantastic and the fit is perfect, I can not recommend this brand enough! I already have my eye on so many of their other items, hurry up pay day!

I wore the tank with black disco leggings to compliment the bright and colourful pattern along with my mint lace trimmed socks. I picked up the white platform strap shoes from Office sale about a month ago and I love them! I'm not usually a lover of bright white shoes but these unique platforms caught my eye and with them being in the sale I just had to have them!

I love using Instagram (@_jahar) to show my life in photographs, it's amazing how you can see users personalities through their wonderful photos. I've decided every Sunday I'm going to share my past week on my blog using my Instagram photos and write a little about what I've been doing as I'd love for you all to know more about me!

I've been working a few more hours this week so I've been addicted to my MUA shade 13 lipstick as it lasts all day, which is perfect for my 8 hour shifts! If you haven't tried this lipstick you really should, the longevity is amazing especially for the £1 price tag! (You can read my review here

I've been wanting a comfortable, reliable, casual shoe for months and months, a pair that I can just put on for anywhere so I treated myself to my first pair of Nike Air's! They are the Nike Air 1 in black and club pink, I must admit I'm not used to wearing this style of shoe but they really are so incredibly comfy and that's exactly what I wanted! I can't wait to write a review on them for you to read!

I hope you have all had a wonderful week!

Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane Dupes

Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane Dupes
/ 1. / 2. / 3. /

I know I'm not the only one obsessed with the Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane boot, or trying to find the perfect dupe so I can save myself a little bit of money! Ive found 3 perfect dupes of the boots, all of which are perfectly affordable prices and under £30 each!

1. Ebay
These lovely dupes are from Ebay, costing a measly £22.99 plus an extra £6.99 postage to the UK as they are made in China. The only difference between these and the original JC's are the height of the platform and heel and the faux leather which has been used which makes the boots look extra shiny. But for this price, who's going to complain? They look amazing!

2. Garage Shoes
I found these the other day when walking past Garage Shoes in meadowhall and spotted them through the window! I immediately ran inside, admired the perfectly styled shoe and squealed with excitement! I was so disappointed when the sales assistant told me they didn't have my size nor did the other stores or online. The only difference I could obviously see again was the extra shine of the boots because of the faux leather, but apart from that everything else was perfect from the silver buckles, to the cut-outs and the chunky heel and platform. These are definitely my favourite dupe out of the 3, so be quick and grab them while you can at only £24.99! Let's hope they restock these beauties soon!

3. New Look
I know everyone has gone crazy over these particular dupes in New Look and they have sold out almost everywhere, at only £29.99 who wouldn't turn them down? The boots are a fantastic copy of the coltranes, the worn leather look is just right, the sole is chunky and the cut outs are almost an exact match! The large buckles are a gold colour, perfectly matching the new gold buckled Coltrane's that have just been released!

Which is your favourite dupe?

Topshop September Wish List

Topshop September Wish List

The weather has turned a little cooler here in Sheffield, so I wanted to share a few of my favourite Autumn items with you from Topshop. I am in love with this gorgeous moth tube skirt, both the pattern and the colours are so bright and eye-catching! I have styled this wonderful skirt with a simple cream corset style top and these cute green T-bar shoes which I adore! Although I have matched these pretty shoes to this outfit I also think they would look perfect with some Topshop high waisted Joni jeans or a black leather pleated skirt. To finish the outfit off I have added chunky gold accessories, purple lipstick and a gold studded denim jacket.

What do you think of my Topshop September outfit? Which is your favourite piece?
